About ISM

Independent Study & Mentorship (ISM) is a rigorous, application-based elective offered at Frisco ISD high schools for high-achieving juniors and seniors. Over the course of a year, each student conducts research in a chosen field, works alongside a professional mentor, produces original work, and presents a final product. The course emphasizes research analysis, original idea generation, product design, and hands-on experience in a professional environment.
